The Mare Australis features 63 outside cabins measuring 161 sq feet and distributed among four decks. All cabins come equipped with private bathroom, independently controlled air conditioning and heating system, safety deposit box, closet and large windows. They are classified in three categories depending on their location. The boat can accommodate up to 129 passengers and has a crew of 40. Facilities include a lounge, two bars, dining room, game room, small library, gift shop and infirmary. Electricity is 220 volts although adapters for 110 are available on board.

The 12 A cabins are located on the Magallanes deck (second deck). They are equipped with one double bed (2) or two twin size lower beds (10), private bathroom, independently controlled air conditioning and heating system, safety deposit box, closet and large windows.
AA Cabin Deck: Magallanes,Tierra del Fuego, Cabo de Hornos 161 sq ft
There are 45 AA cabins distributed between the Magallanes, Tierra del Fuego and Cabo de Hornos Decks (second, third and upper decks). They are equipped with one double bed (8) or two twin size lower beds (37), private bathroom, independently controlled air conditioning and heating system, safety deposit box, closet and large windows.

B Cabin Deck: Patagonia Deck 161 sq ft
There are six B cabins located on the Patagonia Deck (lower deck). They are equipped with two twin size lower beds plus an additional upper berth, private bathroom, independently controlled air conditioning and heating system, safety deposit box, closet and large windows.
Departing from the southernmost city in the world—Ushuaia—sail north towards Punta Arenas in a three-night itinerary that includes visits to Cape Horn, Wulaia Bay, Pia Glacier and Magdalena Island.
The Saturday departure from Punta Arenas offers a good introduction to the wonders of Southern Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. Land and boat excursions are arranged at Marinelli Glacier, Tucker Islet, D’Agostini Fjord, Garibaldi Glacier and Port Williams.
