First Lot Ticket Availability
We have tickets for grandstands (bleachers) as well as for frisas (boxes) on Sectors 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11, for the following dates:
Saturday, March 5th : A-League Parade
The A-League Parade is as great as the Sepcial League, but cheaper. Parade goes from 8PM to 5AM.
The two winning schools will be part of the Special League in the following year, so it’s a big competition, almost same level of Special League only for approximately half of the price!
Sunday, March 6th : Special League Parade first day
This is the first day of the Special league parade, with 6 schools, parading from 9PM to 5AM.
Monday, March 7th : Special League Parade second day
This is the second day of the Special league parade, with 6 schools, parading from 9PM to 5AM.
Saturday, March 12th: Winners’ Parade Parade from 9PM to 5 AM. The first five qualified schools will parade to celebrate their achievements. This is a great opportunity to watch the show as the schools members are not under any judgment. So it’s really a relaxed and fun party to watch. Plus the ticket is approximately half of those on fierce competition days.
What types of tickets are there for the 2011 Rio Carnival Parade?
Camarotes (mezzanine
boxes) are the most coveted positions. Only recommended for closed groups of 12, 24, 36 or 48 people.
Numbered Chairs - The row of frisas are
open boxes with numbered chairs that sit 6 people.
They are as close to the runway as it gets, too
close according to some. Frisas have chairs, and a
small table. Those are the best tickets you can get.
Grandstands (bleachers) are the most
reasonably priced seats. The elevated position
gives you a better idea of schools as a group. Standard bleachers do not have numbered seats
EXCEPT for the VIP bleachers of Sectors 9 which are more expensive, offering numbered and assigned space in the cement.
There aren't actual chairs to sit on - the
bleachers are not much more than big concrete
steps.
